This leg swing is often done in combination with rond de jambe. It begins in the same way as en cloche – the foot slides along the floor and up in the air. But instead of swinging continuously, the leg goes back through retiré.

The knee should stay at the same level and not travel up and down. If you can lift your knee higher in retiré, but not as high in extended position, you must lower the retiré.

Both directions: forward-retiré-back four times. Then back-retiré-front four times.
